VNS means vagal nerve stimulation, which is a technological therapy for patients who have uncontrolled seizures. Our office has the ability to adjust and manage a device once it has been implanted by a surgeon. Dr. Kavilaveettil will assess epilepsy patients and after assessment, if it is determined that the patient is a candidate for VNS, she will then refer the patient to the appropriate surgeon.
